Ramblings Thoughts
By 17769 | July 8, 2007
There appears to be, at least to this author, mixed feelings that our Ramblings magazine is less about the RV life at the chapter level, or as was voiced, more like an “AARP Travel Agency.” What do you think?

History - THIS IS ACCURATE!
History is repeating itself. In the late 1980’s HRRVC was lower in
membership than it is now. Harley-Davidson had just purchased the
company from Mr. Klingler and knew VERY well how important the club
was to sales of its product. Look at the “HOG” Club to see.
In southern Texas a HRRVC dinner was held for members in 1988. Several
of the new HRC V.P.’s, the new COO of HRC Wayne Dahl and the President
of Harley Davidson, Richard Teerlink were in attendance. After the
dinner, lots of visiting and socializing, one couple was asked to go
into the back room with these executives for a private conversation.
He was known by and friends with the HRC V.P. of Marketing and author
Don Wright. What was said at that time was confidential and to be held
in strict confidence. (Since ALL of them are gone, guess I can mention
it now.) Read the rest of this entry »

About us
By Sam | February 28, 2007
There is something fascinating about owning an RV. Regardless how much an RVer attempts to describe the personal satisfaction gained traveling in home-style comfort with an RV, too often the general public has the preception that RV owners occupy a lesser station in life; “gypsies and carnival workers” - no disrespect to any of them with our quotation.
The RV life prduces a constant flow of stories about RV travel, and the sport of maintaining the mechanical and physical RV structure. While most stories are told to one another under the RV awning, many RVers are quite good in keeping journals of their RV life. Here, we encourage those journalists to share their stories with us, and at the same time, educate those poor “ousiders” looking in.
